Can I bring my kids?

We love kids, but due to liability reasons we kindly ask that you leave them at home to avoid appointment cancellation.

How long does my hair have to be?

For best results your hair needs to be 1/4 to 1/2 inch long or at least 3 weeks of outgrowth. When hair is too short it will slip right off the wax, resulting in stubble left over or even worse, lifting skin in your more sensitive areas.

Can I take anything before my service?

You can take a pain reliever/anti-inflammatory 30 minutes prior to your service to minimize discomfort & possible swelling.

What is Numbing Gel?

Numbing Gel is a fast acting topical anesthetic that takes the sting out of hair removal. It does not interfere with your wax, leaving no greasy residue. If interested, we ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your service to apply & set.

What should I avoid before my service?

While having a glass of wine or beer before getting waxed sounds like a great idea, stimulants in the system may cause the skin to be extra sensitive to waxing. It’s recommended to give yourself a couple of hours after drinking coffee or alcohol before getting waxed.

What should I avoid after my service?

We recommend avoiding anything hot or sweaty for 24 - 48 hours. This includes working out, saunas, baths, hot tubs & yes, getting frisky! We know you want to show it off but after waxing your skin is sensitive & pores are open, increasing your chances of bacteria exposure. Its worth the wait, we promise!

Can I wax on my period?

It’s okay to wax on your period. Just remember, the increase in hormones may make your skin more sensitive & you’ll want to come in with a fresh tampon. If you feel uncomfortable waxing on your period, we ask that you please keep your cycle dates in mind when scheduling your next appointment. Our cancellation policy is still in effect even if your cancelling due to your period.

How often can I get waxed?

We recommend scheduling your waxing services every 4-6 weeks. After a few visits we can determine the right amount of time for your growth cycles.

When should I not wax?

If you are taking any skin care medications that include but are not limited to accutane, alpha or beta hydroxy acids, antibiotics, benzyl peroxide, differin, retin-a/retinol or any other skin thinning medications. Certain medications may make skin more sensitive & or susceptible to skin lifting.

Can I tan before or after waxing?

We recommend avoiding tanning booths or sunbathing up to one week before & after waxing. If you tan before waxing, there is an increased chance of skin irritation or abrasion, even with no visible sunburn. If you tan after waxing, there is an increased chance of sunburn of that area. You’ll also want to avoid spray tanning 24 hours after your appointment. Should you come in with a fresh spray tan, we’ll quiet literally wax off your new glow. Sad!

I’m planning a special event, when should I schedule an appointment?

We recommend at least two visits before your event, that way you & your skin have time to get used to the process and possible reactions.

Will waxing make my hair grow back darker & thicker?

Our most hated wives tale! Contrary to what our mothers told us, waxing does quiet the opposite. Waxing helps the hair grow back at a finer texture, making it easier to remove during your next visit. Added bonus: The more you get waxed, the less it hurts & thinner it gets. Its a win win for all!
